First lesson: Equality for man and woman
in the family

I st grade
/ 7 years old- twenty children, two teachers/
I.Discussion:
/ At
this age the pupils can’t read and write, yet./
Teddy bears
are painted without sex differences. Children have to answer following
questions:
1. Where are the bears? What are they
doing? Who is who and why?
All of the
students answered, that this
situation is at home.
Mother - bear
is serving a cake, father - bear is watching TV and the baby -bear is playing.
Teacher’s
question :
- Why don’t you suppose that the bear who is
sitting in the armchair is the mother?
Interesting
pupil’s answer:
-
Because men are lazier than women.
-
Among the humans is the same, mothers are taking care of the children, cooking, cleaning, washing,
ironing….
II.
The students draw pictures at home, in which they have painted what do their parents do usually
during the weekend/ cooking; washing; cleaning, care of the children…etc/
II nd grade
/8
years old- sixty children, six teachers /
AIMS:
1 1. Realizing the problem of gender
equality in the light oftheir topical
roles in the family;
1.
Increasing the sensibility of the
yang people in relation to the existing stereotypes in the everyday life and
manifestations of discriminative practices towards women.
Activities: Each student conducts an inquiry about the
role of both sexes in the family with their parents and where it is possible
with parents (grandmothers and grandfathers).
Exemplary
questions for the inquiry:
· Which activities are considered „female” and which „ male”?
·
How many hours weekly spend
the wife and how many the husbands for household activities?
·
Who takes a decision about the future
of the children?

care of the children/, etc…..
2. Increasing the sensibility of the

you want to meet:
Answers:
а) Foreign footballers – Ronaldo, Messi. / male/.
b) Grigor Dimitrov – Bulgarian tennis player. / male/.
3 3. Who are the most famous singers,
you want to meet:
Answers:
а) Bulgarian pop and rap singers– / mainly men/.
b) Foreign pop and rap singers– / mainly men/.
4. Who are
the most famous actors, you want to meet:
Answers:
а) Foreign actors /mainly men/.
5. Who are
the most famous writers, you have heard and have read
their stories or fairy – tales or novels:
Answers:
a) Bulgarian writers / mainly men/.
b) Foreign writers – /mainly men/.
Analyzing the results
The
research was conducted with approximately a hundred and twenty students aged
six to eleven years old.
1.
The woman in the family spends more time for
activities in favor of the family, 75% of respondents
2.
The man and woman spend equal time for
activities in favor of the family, 20% of respondents
3.
Father spends more time to activities in favor
of the family, 5%
It is important to know that 15% of those
surveyed school students live with one of his mother's parental and 5% - only
with his father.
